The Impact of the "Iron Swords" War on Israel's High-Tech Industry:

The Israel Advanced Technology Industries Association (IATI) initiated a survey among global tech companies operating in Israel regarding the impact of the "Iron Swords" war on their activities in the country.

In a survey conducted among more than 50 global tech companies operating in Israel, very intriguing findings emerged, including:

  • 94% of the companies indicated that they allow their employees to volunteer in support of southern residents and IDF soldiers during working hours.
  • 98% of the companies stated that they offer flexibility to their employees regarding working from home or the office.
  • 70% of the companies mentioned that they are collecting donations for IDF soldiers and residents of the Gaza border region and the South, with the majority of the donations—around 74%—being collected both in Israel and abroad.
  • 64% of the companies stated that they allow employees with children under the age of 14 to refrain from responding to work entirely.
  • 78% of the companies indicated that they provide their employees with support such as psychological counseling, babysitting services, food, and more.
  • 38% of the companies reported that, compared to normal times, current productivity during the "Iron Swords" war is at 30%-50%. In 30% of the companies, productivity is at 50%-70% compared to regular times, and 28% of the companies noted that productivity is currently at 70%-90% compared to normal times.
