‘Meshuhreret-Tech’ Program 2025

Meshuhreret-Tech is a national program launched in 2021, now entering its third cohort. It is led by IATI and the Social Economic Forum, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense (Discharged Soldiers Department), the IDF’s “Sha’ar La’Atid” Directorate, and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).

The program is designed to support the transition of recently discharged female soldiers with strong mathematical backgrounds, typically without prior experience in technological military roles, into Israel’s tech ecosystem. Participants are selected through a rigorous screening process in cooperation with the IDF.

Meshuhreret-Tech equips participants with the knowledge, tools, and guidance to pursue academic engineering studies and build future careers in technology, while actively promoting gender diversity and inclusion across the industry.

A central element of the program is its dedicated mentorship track, which fosters meaningful personal connections between participants and experienced female engineers. These relationships offer guidance, visibility, and a stronger sense of belonging in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). The 2025 cohort includes mentors from leading companies such as IAI, Palo Alto Networks, Cadence, Toga Networks, NeuroDerm, Qualitest, and Zeiss.

Participants gain exposure to the tech ecosystem through a combination of professional workshops, tech training sessions, guest lectures, and site visits hosted by companies including TikTok, Check Point, NVIDIA, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, General Motors, the Technion, IAI, and more.
