Tech River and Israel Startup Network are very happy to invite you to our next event: Benefits & Considerations for Early Stage Penetration into the Chinese Market, to be held on November 23rd at 6 PM at Microsoft R&D, Herzlia Pituach, 13 Shenkar St., Building 6, Floor L1, Academy Room.

This event is being produced in cooperation with the PTL Group, which supports Israeli companies in setting up and developing their sales and manufacturing operations in China.

 

Our main speaker, Zvi Shalgo, Founder of PTL Group, will focus on these issues:

  • Current trends in the Chinese market and their implications for foreign business
  • Maximizing a company’s valuation through China market penetration
  • The unique sales dynamics in the Chinese market
  • Things to consider before accepting Chinese investments and partnerships
  • Business Incubation platforms that support Israeli technology companies in the Chinese market

 

Following Zvi’s presentation, we will have a panel discussion and audience Q&A, moderated by Peggy Mizrahi, who was born in China and currently heads the China Unit at the Israel Export Institute. Joining Zvi on the Panel will be Eran Lasser, Nevo Alva, and Adir Zimerman. Please see short bios below.

Bios of Moderator and Panelists

Peggy Mizrahi, born in China as He Guan, has headed the China Unit at the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute (IEICI) since August 2014. She is a trained international reporter and cross-cultural communicator. Prior to IEICI, Peggy worked at the Israel-Asia Center, promoting Israel-Asia exchange in culture and entrepreneurship. Peggy graduated from the London School of Economics with an MS in Global Media and Communications and Fudan University in Shanghai with a BA in Mass Communication.

 

Eran Lasser is the founder of John Bryce, Israel’s leading hi-tech training company. He served as a Joint CEO of John Bryce as well as Joint CEO of Matrix Global (offshore division), and managed the Tact QA & Testing Division, the IMC (Israeli Management Center), and the call centers division. Eran ran the Matrix Global and John Bryce operations in China, including the establishment of a first development center by Matrix in China. With more than 20 years’ experience in high tech, he is a senior advisor to Synergy China Funds, focusing on Big Data, Enterprise software, Mobile Applications, BI, IoT, Fintech, and others. The fund also invests in medical devices, clean-tech, media, etc.

Nevo Alvo is the co-founder and CEO of Visualead – a company that empowers enterprises to create effective and secure O2O experiences for mobile customer engagement. Nevo has unique experience in the establishment and execution of a startup in China from basic operation and up to strategic partnership and investment from Alibaba. Prior to Visualead, he served as an Officer in the Israeli Air Force, and held senior management positions in several technology startups. Nevo holds a B.A. in Business Management & Aviation Sciences from Haifa University and an MBA from Tel Aviv University with an emphasis on technology, entrepreneurship and innovation management.
