The GRHIP currently houses transnational science research teams recruited from around the US and the world. The GRHIP provides an exceptional research & business ecosystem that promotes and enables synergies between private diversified entities such as companies, academic medicine and health care delivery systems.

Life science & MD companies and biomedical engineering (IOT with a focus on wearables, injectables, and other consumer driven health technologies), Gene therapy applications & cyber security applications, Bioinformatics/population health, machine learning/predictive analytics, imaging, genomics/precision

What the GRHIP offers?

Venture capital Funds – Access to local and national VC funds and National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding.

Provides access to a statewide network of urban/suburban/rural health systems across the state of Michigan that are interested in partnering in clinical trials and to basic and translational science research at both MSU and the Van Andel Institute ($1.5B endowed private research facility) who are motivated to partner with industry for developing/commercializing/licensing IT.

• National Hub – Access to one of the fastest growing bio-medical device regions, especially advance manufacturing.

• Strong entrepreneurial history – in the community that is supported by public and private funding.

• Livable community – Grand Rapids is the most livable communities in the US (as determined by Forbes) and enjoy the benefit of a great quality of life with affordable homes and excellent education system.
