IATI–Place-IL Student Industry Integration Program

Dec. 17, 2025

The IATI–Place-IL Industry Integration Program is a joint social-tech initiative led by IATI, in collaboration with Place-IL, designed to connect leading technology companies in Israel with outstanding Computer Science and Software Engineering students from diverse and underrepresented populations.

The program enables companies to integrate students into development teams through a structured and rigorous screening process, developed and conducted together with CTOs and HR professionals from leading tech companies. This process is aimed at ensuring professional suitability and alignment with team and role requirements, with Place-IL contributing its expertise in identifying and preparing high-potential students from underrepresented populations for integration into the high-tech workforce.

During the first six months of employment, the program co-funds 50% of the student’s salary. Throughout this period, the program provides ongoing professional guidance and support to both the students and the employing companies, helping ensure a smooth integration into the workplace.

Participating students undergo targeted professional training that combines technical skill development with a strong emphasis on essential workplace and interpersonal skills (Power Skills), preparing them to contribute effectively to development teams from the outset.

The program operates nationwide and includes students from a wide range of backgrounds, including residents of Israel’s geographic periphery, IDF veterans, members of the Arab community, Ultra-Orthodox communities, new immigrants, and other populations that are underrepresented in the high-tech industry.
More than 160 leading technology companies have already been connected with high-potential students, contributing to the development of Israel’s future tech workforce and to the promotion of a more inclusive tech ecosystem.
