“Your Way” – An Employment Initiative for Single Mothers

IATI invites employers to take part in “Your Way”, an innovative employment initiative implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, SFI Group, and Friends of Toronto.

The initiative is designed to provide single mothers with comprehensive professional support, at no cost, enabling meaningful integration into the workforce, career advancement, and the creation of a stable foundation for long-term economic independence. The program is expected to support approximately 600 single mothers in securing quality employment, while reducing long-term reliance on welfare support.

The initiative operates on two parallel tracks: tailored support for participating single mothers, alongside close collaboration with employers. Employer engagement is a core component of the program, aimed at expanding employment opportunities and facilitating the integration of single mothers into leading companies across the economy.

Participating employers benefit from:

  • Participation in a meaningful social and economic initiative with long-term impact

  • Access to committed, high-quality talent

  • Reduced employee turnover and improved workforce stability

  • Support in removing employment barriers and enabling productive integration

  • A professional support framework, including ongoing employment coaching and targeted training as needed (such as AI tools, Excel, LinkedIn, and additional skills)

Employers are supported throughout the integration period through a structured accompaniment framework, ensuring both the employee and the organization experience a smooth and successful onboarding process.
